Made from upcycled magazines and brochures, our collection of necklaces and bracelets are handmade by the women who are involved with the Ugandan Orphans fund. Pieces of old magazines and calendars are cut into long strips that are then turned into a bead by winding the strips around a stick.This creates the opening from which the beads are threaded together. The Ugandan Orphans fund supports 163 children in NOrthern Uganda and engages the women in the village in the production of these jewellery, which allows them to make a living for themselves and their children.
